Meet Dr. Benny Shao, OD. In this episode we discuss the potential that poor vision, not just with the light that passes through the lens and iris being in  proper focus, but also the coordination of the eyes to each other and the rest of the body, could affect how you learn, and what type of career you may choose.

Dr. Benny Shao is a neuro-developmental optometrist specializing in vision therapy and is the founder of Benny Shao, OD, Optometric Corp, web address is www.sjvisiontherapy.com. He has two locations in the Bay Area, one in west San Jose and the other in Fremont. He is a South Bay native, having grown up in San Jose, attended UC Berkeley with an undergraduate degree in neurobiology, and earned his optometry degree in 2001 at the Southern California College of Optometry. He is also a fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, which is a governing body that approves board certification for doctors of optometry to specialize in vision therapy. Dr. Shao's office currently specializes in treating developmental vision problems such as lazy eye, strabismus, double vision, learning-related vision problems, progressive worsening of nearsightedness, and post concussion vision syndrome.
